King Mo Responds to Steroid Accusations – Inside MMA
Last week Mo Lawal tested positive for a banned substance and was subsiquently suspended for a year and stripped of his victory over Lorenz Larkin, pending a hearing next week. In this video Lawal explains why he tested positive, and says he’ll submit all supplements he has been taking for testing, to see what caused a positive test result.

i would just stick to protein shakes, amino acid and B12 vitamins if i was a pro mma fighter, and probably just cocounut water and shark fin for the joints, no steroids there
It’s really sad that the UFC and Strikeforce testing is regulated by the government, and yet the government can’t even regulate whey protein powder. And ban certain brands that are putting steroids into their product.

@HBKCommish You don’t want the government to regulate anything, esp supplements. As for MMA fighters, or anyone claiming supplements did them it, they are idiots, as athelets it is their job to know what goes into their body. The reality though is alot of these guys use PEDs, not to get huge but to recuperate, then they blame supplements when they piss hot.

@TheAngeltoDemon I’m not trying to defend anyone. But there is a lot of stuff on the market, that is perfectly legal, but yet has illegal substances in it. I find it hard to believe that out of all the athletes who have tested positive, that there isn’t quite a few out there who did indeed have tainted supplements. Just saying it’s a problem. If you do your research it’s actually a very big problem. So many tainted supplements out there.
@HBKCommish How many times has Hydroxycut had to pull their shit off the shelves because of illegal substances in it. And then they just find something else to put in it, until they get caught again.
@HBKCommish You’re right in terms of stimulants but not anabolic steriods so much, There were definitely problems in the past, so it remains a possibility. I too can’t accuse anyone without knowing all the facts, but my main point is as a pro athlete who will get tested, you have got to know what you’re putting in your body. I hear you though.
